מחקר
My research explores the socio-spatial determinants of transport and housing inequalities in our cities. Specifically, I focus on the intersections of transportation, the built environment, and housing to explain how urban policy and planning impact disadvantaged groups and identify the planning practices that advance the development of sustainable and inclusive cities. Some of my recent work includes travel problems and transport poverty, housing and transportation costs and affordability, bicycle advocacy groups, and the relationships between climate change, critical infrastructure, and health outcomes. My research builds on my interdisciplinary education in urban planning and geography and employ a mix of advanced geospatial, quantitative, and qualitative methods.
המחקר שלי בוחן את הגורמים החברתיים-מרחביים המייצרים אי-שוויון בתחבורה ובדיור בערים שלנו. לצורך כך, אני מתמקד בצמתים שבין תחבורה, סביבה בנויה ודיור כדי להסביר כיצד מדיניות עירונית ותכנון משפיעים על קבוצות מוחלשות ולזהות את כלי התכנון המקדמים את פיתוחן של ערים בנות-קיימא ומכילות. מחקרי האחרונים כוללים בחינת בעיות בתחבורה ועוני תחבורתי, עלויות דיור ותחבורה ויוקר מחיה, פעילותן של קבוצות רוכבי אופניים, והקשרים בין שינויי אקלים, תשתיות קריטיות ובריאות. המחקר שלי מתבסס על תיאוריות מתכנון עירוני וגיאוגרפיה וומשלב בין מתודות מרחביות, כמותיות ואיכותיות.
